SCAPE Group is comprised of six companies, serving both public and private sectors with expertise in procurement, design, construction waste, property management and regeneration.

The Communications and Content Lead is responsible for delivering high-quality written content, clear and engaging internal communications, and strategic external messaging. The role plays a vital part in building and strengthening SCAPE Group’s brand reputation and ensuring a consistent voice across all communications channels.

Your new role

As the Communications and Content Lead, you’ll support the PR, Communications and Engagement Partner and the Content Marketing Partner across content creation, internal communications, external communications, PR activities, and proofreading of marketing collateral.

You’ll also work closely with the Digital Content Lead, who manages social media and video creation, to ensure written content aligns closely with SCAPE’s digital-first initiatives and maintains brand voice.

What you’ll do

  • Content Creation and Copywriting - Produce engaging and high-quality written content, including blogs, articles, thought leadership pieces, newsletters, and case studies to support SCAPE Group’s strategic objectives.
  • Internal Communications - Support the delivery of internal communication and campaigns, ensuring clear, consistent, and engaging messaging across channels such as the intranet, newsletters, and face-to-face briefings.
  • External Communications and PR - Assist in drafting press releases, media statements, quotes and external content. Support proactive and reactive media activity, including handling inquiries and coordinating PR opportunities.
  • Proofreading and Editorial Oversight - Provide quality control for written content across the marketing team, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment.

What you’ll bring

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, English or another relevant professional qualification/experience.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with knowledge of internal comms best practice, PR/media writing, editorial standards and brand voice,
  • Familiarity with content marketing and digital communication channels.
  • IT literate and competent in the use of Microsoft Office and digital collaboration tools.
  • Understanding of B2B marketing and communications, particularly within construction, infrastructure, or public sector procurement.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Viva Engage, Planner, Craft CMS, and social media/content management platforms – or similar applications
