Jack Garner has been appointed Chief of Staff at SCAPE Group, bringing with him a significant track record in public sector partnerships, commercial and operational leadership, governance and capital development.

With extensive senior leadership experience spanning public services, sport and education, Garner joins from The Football Association (The FA), the governing body of football in England. As Head of Business Operations, Garner oversaw complex transformation programmes at The FA and provided strategic leadership across business operations and partnerships.

Prior to The FA, Jack spent eight years at public leisure outsourcing company Serco Leisure, most recently as Regional Director, where he was responsible for a portfolio of public leisure and national sports facilities. Working in partnership with local authorities and national organisations including Sport England, UK Sport and NHS partners, Garner oversaw large-scale public service contracts, significant capital investment programmes and a workforce of over 1,700 people.

Reporting to our Group Chief Executive, Mark Robinson, Garner will lead the Group’s central services teams, including finance, legal, people, IT and procurement. He will play a central role in driving collaboration across the Group, ensuring these functions operate as an integrated service for the Group’s business subsidiaries, SCAPE, SCAPE Scotland, Lungfish Architects, Arc Partnership and Construction Waste Portal, supporting organisational effectiveness, strategic delivery and long-term growth.

For over 20 years, the SCAPE Group has built a strongly established presence in the market, trusted by an unrivalled portfolio of public sector organisations to deliver long-term value from accelerated project delivery and compliant procurement, to iconic design solutions, property and estates management and regeneration, and waste management forecasting. I look forward to supporting the leadership team in its ambition to continue maximising the impact of public investment across the built environment and beyond.

Jack Garner, Chief of Staff at SCAPE Group

Alongside his executive career, Jack is a Board Director and Trustee of the Northern Council for Further Education (NCFE) and of the Leisure Solutions Community Trust (LSCT), and has joined the Board of the Construction Waste Portal, contributing to governance, strategic direction, risk management and organisational transformation.

Jack joins us with an invaluable combination of senior executive and board-level experience, alongside a strong track record of building successful public sector partnerships. His appointment comes at a pivotal time for the SCAPE Group as we deliver our growth strategy and launch our next generation of SCAPE and SCAPE Scotland frameworks. He will play an important role in strengthening collaboration across the Group and ensuring our central services continue to support the needs of our team, partners and clients.
